365 SMART Academy:
Science, Math, Art, Recreation, and Technology

UAF Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning created the 365 SMART Academy, which provides virtual and in-person enrichment courses for K-12 students to supplement their academic curriculum.

Virtual courses consist of YouTube videos, weekly Zoom class meetings, and course kits with materials to provide hands-on activities at home. In-person courses will take place either on UAF Campus or at one of our local (Fairbanks) homeschool partner locations.

Enrollment and Cancellations:

Registration for all fall classes (in-person and virtual) opens at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5. You can register for the SMART Academy using this form.
Enrollment for swimming is through CampDoc, full payment is due at the time of registration. For help with CampDoc try our "How-To" Document or contact summer@alaska.edu
For those residing outside of the Fairbanks/ North Pole area, please enroll for virtual classes early to ensure the timely receipt of your course kits. Course kits are mailed via USPS, and it is best to allow 7 - 10 days from the date of enrollment to the start date of your course.

Cancellation:

To cancel a registration for all other in-person courses, you must complete this cancellation form. Refunds will only be given if you withdraw from the course at least one week prior to the start day (minus a $25 processing fee). Refunds will not be given for cancellations placed within one week of the start date.
To cancel a registration for a virtual course, you must complete this cancellation form. If a cancellation is requested more than a week before the first day of class, you will be refunded all but the non-refundable $25 deposit. If a cancellation is requested less than a week before the first day of class, you will incur an additional $35 material fee. Refunds will not be given for cancellations placed on or after the first day of class.
To cancel swimming lessons, please request a cancellation through CampDoc. Cancellations made through Sunday, September 10, will be subject to a $25 processing fee. Refunds for Swimming will not be given after September 10.

Scholarships are available!

Scholarships for 365 SMART Academy are available for homeschool-unaffiliated students who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch. If you are unsure if your family qualifies, check with your school.
